RAG Women's Retreat 2012

About half the ladies hiked along the river to this serene spot.  A great place to turn around because the lunch bell was about to ring.  We snapped a few pictures and then headed back down the hill.

We stayed in 2 dorm style rooms at a camp at Blue River.  The staff cooked and we enjoyed some very scrumtous food.  It was so nice not to cook or clean.

We had a great getaway with the RAG ladies.  We met some new people and learned a little about starting conversations.  Debbie Farmer shared her testimony and talked about the power that is held in just the thoughts in your head.  We created cook books with recipes that each lady contributed.  Bonnie shared at breakfast on Sunday about the sovereignty of God.  It was nice to regroup, refresh and gain perspective on our day to day lives.  I rode up and back with Chelsea, Tanya and Gwynn and we decided to stop in Sisters on the way home to shop and have some lunch.  Those BBQ flavored crickets were delsih (ask Tanya).

Celebrating Jesus' Sacrifice--Easter 2012

The kids enjoyed dying the eggs and their fingers too. Grandpa and Grandma Martin and Auntie Teresa brought over a breakfast casserole to celebrate the Easter holiday on Saturday evening.

Ruby tried her first boiled egg and seemed to like it.

We went to church in the morning and then had our own little Easter egg hunt at lunch time.

Bubbles have become our thing on Easter. This year the kids loved blowing their own bubbles and watching the wind take them. The weather was warm and surprisingly not too windy.

Corinne twirling in her pretty dress.

Daddy and son watching the Masters together. It turned out to be a great tournament and we cheered as Bubba Watson won his first title and donned the coveted green jacket.

In the evening we went to the Granda and Grandma Hockers house for more Easter basket fun and another egg hunt with the cousins. Next year there will be a couple more little girls able to participate.

Ruby rockin' out to Uncle Jeff's iTunes and sportin' the chicky PJs.
